Position: Competitive Exhibits Coordinator and Front Desk Representative
Salary Range: $4,054 to $5,434 monthly; Starting Salary DOQ, DOE
Location Fairgrounds
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week); FSLA non-exempt; Benefits Apply Open Until Filled

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: On a year-round basis, perform a variety of specialized and highly responsible duties related to all aspects of the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days Competitive Exhibits. Additionally, for a nine-to-ten-month period, serve as the Front Desk Representative in the Main Fair Office. Assist Fairgrounds Manager and staff with Fair Office regular duties. This position requires a highly responsible individual with computer and office/bookkeeping skills and the ability and experience to work well with the public and other employees. Individual must have the ability to do multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment under sometimes stressful conditions. Independent discretion and judgment are required in applying guidelines to work situations. Work schedule does require some overtime and occasional weekends and/or evenings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Opens and operates the Competitive Exhibits Office three months out of the year. During the three-month period in the Competitive Exhibits Office, supervises 2-3 temporary office staff and 25-30 volunteer superintendents during fair.
Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Typical work is performed in an office setting which requires sitting and standing for extended periods, walking, bending, lifting up to twenty (20) pounds and driving small-motorized equipment. There is also outside work in summer weather and in barnyard environment. Periods of physical work as needed. Work schedule does require some overtime and occasional weekends or evenings.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of administrative office support experience. Familiarity with fairs/fairgrounds is a plus. Supervisory experience preferred. Agricultural experience desired.
