About the Company

Operating with approximately 98 FTEs, the Public Works Department consists of four divisions: Engineering, Solid Waste, ER&R, and Road Maintenance. The Public Works Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 60 bridges and approximately 1,491 miles of county roadways with 668 miles being paved and 823 miles being gravel roadways. Department staff are responsible for coordinating the planning, engineering, design and construction of transportation/infrastructure projects, and solid waste management, which includes a landfill, three transfer stations and a recycle center.
