Fleet Services
Manages Jefferson County’s fleet of vehicles and equipment, road-maintenance surface mines and stockpiles, as well as related facilities and shops. Fleet Service staff purchase, maintain, repair, fuel and remarket fleet vehicles, trailers and equipment.

Parks & Recreation
Enjoy the outdoors in Jefferson County’s 20 + parks.  Sports and recreation programs provide activities for a variety of ages.

Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling
Facilities and programs for recycling and disposal of Solid Waste and Household Hazardous Waste.

Right-of-Way Permits and Vacations
A permit is required for any activity impacting a County road, in order to protect the infrastructure and the public’s safety and investment.

Road Maintenance & Operations
Jefferson County has over 400 center line miles of County roadway. Road maintenance includes maintaining road surfaces, road signs, drainage infrastructure, vegetation control and snow and ice control.

Transportation planning and engineering projects improve and maintain the safety and efficiency of transportation in Jefferson County.

Port Hadlock Wastewater System
Jefferson County is constructing a sewer system for the Irondale & Port Hadlock Urban Growth Area (UGA) to provide wastewater treatment for local residents and businesses.
