Pierce County is looking for you to join and lead the Right-of-Way (ROW) group within Surface Water Management (SWM), a division of Planning and Public Works (PPW) as our Right of Way Program Supervisor. In this position you will lead a team of Right-of-Way professionals and be responsible for the acquisition of property rights that play a pivotal role in supporting SWM’s capital improvement and infrastructure projects. This will include negotiating, purchasing, and contracting real property, real estate offers, purchase and sales agreements, review appraisals, and environmental assessments. This work will have you collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to include County leadership, planners, engineers, biologists, landowners, tribal governments, and the public.Your leadership and real estate expertise will drive projects such as fish passage restoration, habitat restoration, flood risk reduction, and groundbreaking initiatives like the removal of the dam at Chambers Bay.
