 Public Works Director/County Engineer

REPORTS TO: Board of County Commissioners

RATE OF PAY: $129,132.11 – $150,078.72 per year (DOQ)

OTHER COMPENSATION: $20,000 sign-on bonus split into three payments. $5,000 at the time of hire, $7,000 upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period (6 months), and final payment of $8,000 on one one-year anniversary. Relocation assistance possible.

SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to administer the Asotin County Public Works Department, including, but not limited to, County Road, Municipal Solid Waste, and Stormwater divisions. This position, as it relates to county roads is mandated through RCW 36.080.010. Work performed through this position includes direction of, participation in, and oversight of all county engineering design and construction, supervision of Public Works employees, and direction of Public Works functions.
