Health & Human Services Manager

Job Description

This Health & Human Services Manager will serve as departmental lead for varied technical accounting work including the operation, analysis, and development of financial systems for the Health & Human Services Department of Pacific County. This position will have latitude over department programs, expenditures and operations. Additionally, this position will provide quality assurance for all contract and subcontracts for federal, state, and local entities.

Other duties include:

Development and monitoring of the department budget, asset management, cost allocation accounting, and grant program funding, implementation, oversight;
Monitors and reports on project expenditure and schedules to assure that they remain within planned level, and, when necessary, recommends modifications;
Develops and improves management systems to track contracts, subcontracts, monitoring, and evaluations;
Leads all financial and programmatic audits;
Assisting in the hiring, training, evaluation, coaching and supervision of fiscal and administrative staff;
Manage and improve the department’s systems to track and respond to all public record requests;
Performs such other appropriate duties and functions that shall from time to time be assigned by the Director or designee.
