Position Information
Manages and performs a variety of advanced professional assignments and staff supervision, including the development and implementation of the 6-year capital facility plan for the Solid Waste Division, and management of operations of County solid waste facilities, confirming ongoing facility compliance with applicable regulations and technical requirements. Duties include responsibility for capital projects, including overseeing design work, project estimating, project management, and overseeing, confirming inspection design and construction contracts for projects identified in the Solid Waste Division Capital Facility Plan, and performing a variety of professional field and office assignments that require the application of standard principles in the development and operation of solid waste facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Required Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in engineering, science, environmental science, physical science or related field; and
Five years of professional experience involving project coordination/management in preferably solid waste facilities; and
One year of supervisory experience preferably of large diverse work groups.

Preferred Education, Experience or Other Qualifications

Experience overseeing and administrating grant and contracts.
Experience working with public and with regulatory agencies.
